Another week in the Whidden house....

Reese went back to the doctor on Friday...she came down with the croup :( She missed three days of school, but she went back today. The medicine she was on made her really moody and cranky, so I'm glad it was only for five days. Other than that, she's doing really well. She missed riding horses on Tuesday -- I'm hoping she'll get to ride on Thursday instead.








Paige is doing really well...I can't believe she is getting so big! She is so funny and still laughs at almost anything. She is still rocking back and forth on her hands and knees...every day I expect her to go forward. She is getting used to her two top teeth and one bottom tooth -- she started grinding them together last night. Now when she grins you can really see them!

Paige is 9 months & more Horsie pics!

I can't believe Paige is nine months old already...it's really incredible how fast this year is flying by. She loves to get up on her hands and knees and just stay there for a few minutes and then flop back down. She will be mobile very soon! And I just discovered last night that her two bottom teeth have just barely broken the gums. I blended up some butternut squash for her on Monday and so far she loves it. I'm so glad she's a good eater so far!

Last week was her 9-month checkup and she got a great report! She weighs 16 lbs. 9 oz. and is 27.5 inches. I was relieved to know that everything looked healthy--her heart, ears, throat, etc. I'm one proud mommy! Here are her 9-month pictures and a few random ones.
















Reese is doing very well. She still loves school, and is really loving riding the horses. Her teachers gave me a copy of the rest of the pictures, so here are a few more of them. She is so at peace while she's riding! I'm so happy to hear that she's really coming along and adjusting well to everything.

Batgirl, a mad Dorothy and a cute Lion

We had a great Halloween! I volunteered at Reese's school on Friday for the Fall Festival. She dressed up as Batgirl...minus the mask, boots and arm bands. She still looked cute! I enjoyed being at school helping out.






Paige is now getting up on all fours...so crawling is in her near future. You can really see her two top teeth when she smiles, and I just don't like it...it means she's growing up :(



Saturday, we went Trunk or Treating...Reese was Dorothy and Paige was the Lion. Reese DID NOT want to wear the red ruby slippers that I ordered for her. So she was very mad in all of the pictures, but she still looked adorable!







Sunday we enjoyed lunch at Bok Tower, and Reese played in her favorite little hut. You know me...I took the camera and got some really pretty shots of her! Paige was kind of sleepy, so she wasn't in the mood to pose for me...haha. I did get one cute one of her, though. There are also some random shots from the house here, too.

Two Teeth and a Horse

Paige now has her two front teeth! Both my girls got their top two teeth before their bottom ones. I guess Paige can't ask Santa for them now...haha. She is doing so well, and is such a happy baby.

Reese is doing super! She got to ride a horse yesterday at school for the first time, and she loved it! She even laid on him backwards...and just relaxed. Her teacher took a picture and emailed it to me, which made me so happy!

In the Halloween mood...

This last weekend was so amazing, so we spent a lot of time outdoors. We went to Bok Tower on Sunday, and it just felt so nice and cool outside...finally! The girls have cute Halloween shirts to wear, so here are their latest pics wearing those. Reese is all better now; her nose isn't clogged anymore. Her doctor wants to keep her on her antibiotics for a while longer, though, just to make sure all the sickies are gone.

Paige finally has her first tooth! I noticed it last Wednesday night. It's her right upper one...I can't remember the correct name for it. It's not even half way through, so you can barely see it. And good luck trying to move her lip so you can see it -- this girl will swat your hands away and slap at you! She does not like anyone touching her face. She's so funny when she's trying to get you to leave her alone...haha!

It's Fall....well, somewhat...

The season is Fall, but it sure feels like Summer still. We took the girls to the pumpkin patch on Saturday and came right home and jumped in the pool! Only in Florida...haha. Everyone has had a good week. Reese's sinuses are bugging her again, but she's taking medicine and feeling better already. Little Paige is as funny as always...the simplest things make her laugh. Paige is 8 months old!

It's hard to believe, isn't it? She is doing so well and getting chunky! She loves pears, so I can add that to her list of loves. We're trying peaches next. I love making fresh baby food for her, and she loves to eat it.

Reesie is also doing well. She is having a blast at school these days. She gets a good report from Ms. Meghan every day when I pick her up. I'm so proud of her!

Here are the latest pics. I did Paige's pics in the front yard yesterday...imagine her leaning back too far and tumbling out of the basket into the dirt! She did that, and I felt horrible! But she wasn't hurt and she kept smiling. :) She is wearing the same outfit Reese wore in her 8-month photos. I love recycling...haha! It was just too cute to not let her wear it.
