Another busy week gone...one week from today we will have another Christmas memory for the books! Hard to believe it's upon us already. The girls have been preparing all week long at school. They brought home so many Christmas goodies--homemade ornaments, cookies, drawings, gifts...they've been busy little elves :)
We downsized a lot this year (as far as shopping for gifts go). Money is tight, so Santa is having to watch his wallet. It really makes you stop and remember that Christmas isn't about how much money you spend or how many gifts you get. Just spending time with people, letting them know you love them, and remembering the birth of Jesus is what is important about this holiday. Marshall said it best the other night..."Christmas has become such a scam." I totally understand that statement. There is so much emphasis on presents, and it shouldn't be. People lose sight of what really matters. Family, health, love...that's what matters.
Okay, on with the weekly doings of my girls :)
On Wednesday, Santa visited the school. Neither of my girls were too impressed...haha. I managed to get a picture of them on his lap, but there are no happy smiles :( It was also Pajama Day, so they were very comfy.
Here is Paige with Ms. Margarita.
And later at home, goofing off :)
This is Paige's new thing...sticking her hand down her pants, like she's Al Bundy. She doesn't scratch or anything...just rests her hand there, like she has a pocket!
Here are the girls in their matching Dora "Feliz Navidad" shirts. It's impossible to get them together in the same shot...but I did manage one. Reese bundled up with a comforter and Paige kept harassing her. It was quite a funny scene, and at least I got a picture of it :)
Granny Betty and Reese
My sweet Reese, looking very festive and cute in her pink Santa shirt :)
Reese playing with her Daddy...she was laughing so hard here!
What would a weekly post be without pictures of my little Cheerio Bandit?
Pippy bundled up with the comforter...she's so silly! (Of course, she tried to eat it.)
Yesterday morning, being lazy in our pajamas! Love days like that. Reese was reading and Paige was watching Dora. I love how Reese holds her books with her feet.
She lined up Austin and Tasha and read to them :)
