My girls are growing up right before my very eyes! Reese is now officially four years old, and yesterday Paige turned 19 months. We had the family over on Saturday for Reese's birthday. We grilled hamburgers, and everyone brought a side dish. It turned out great! Since we had planned on building Reese the tree hut for her birthday, we asked that everyone give her money in lieu of gifts to help pay for it. She did get a few presents -- an art easel, several new outfits, some of her favorite snacks, and a fun tunnel to crawl through. The play hut is still under construction, so as soon as it's complete, I'll get pictures of Reese playing on it. She hasn't been able to yet because it's pretty high, and the side rails aren't up yet. That is the next step. This is going to be the coolest play hut/swing set EVER!
Reese missed two days of school this week because she caught a bug already! I figured she'd get sick not long after school starting, and I was right. She started coughing, and we caught it early before it turned into bronchitis, thank goodness. She perked up by her birthday, though! Her classmates even made her a giant birthday card with their hand prints on it! Hopefully her teacher will send it home this week so I can show you.
Here are the pictures from the last week and weekend...
Reese completely enjoying herself in the pool today :)

Reese's easel & all her gifts and cards...
The pink pony cake that I made...I love making my girls' birthday cakes! It turned out a little pinker than I'd planned, but it still looked cute and tasted yummo!
Reese received a bag of her favorite snacks, and when she saw the Rice Krispie treats, she had to have one right then! She wasn't too interested in opening anything else, so there aren't any pictures of that. She wasn't too sure about the entire family gathered around watching her :)

Paige being silly at the birthday party. She loves to do pillow pushups on this pillow...it's so funny to watch her bounce up and down :)
